Twin River Valley Preschool performs authentic assessment and uses portfolios to record and present each child's progress and development.

Children are amazing creatures in that they are always creating, exploring, and moving.  We use those terrific qualities in our assessment.  Each child will be extensively observed each week.  The teacher will observe learning moments in the natural environment of play.  Each observation will be based on a developmental milestone and learning standard.  That will be recorded with a short anectote and/or picture of the child.  This will all be placed in the child's portfolio.

If you have any concerns or questions about your child and the progress he/she is making you may schedule an appointment with the teacher at any time.  Your participation is important.
